A New Chapter in Russell’s Dental Care
Meet The Family Behind Russell Trails Dental
Dr. Proulx and his family are local to Russell and active members of our community. They have two young daughters and are designing the practice with the needs of young children in mind. Dr. Proulx’s wife works in the dental field as a sales representative. She is passionate for ensuring we are equipped with all the latest technology and advancements in the field to better serve our patients.
Dr. Proulx has been practicing in the Ottawa area since 2019 and has always dreamed of owning a small town, family practice. He is looking forward to watching his patients grow up and serving generations of families in his hometown.
Dr. Proulx has always had a keen interest in technology and digital dentistry and serves as a course speaker for Ottawa area dentists on the subjects of same-day dentistry and 3D printing. He has also served as a committee chair of the Ottawa Dental Society.
As the only locally owned dental practice in Russell, Dr. Proulx is excited to innovate and to improve access to excellent quality, individualized dental care in his community.
Stephanie
Level II Dental Assistant
Stephanie brings nearly two decades of experience in the dental field to her role as a Certified Level II Dental Assistant at Russell Trails Dental. Known for her warmth, professionalism, and patient-centered approach, she takes pride in helping each patient feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits.
With a diverse background in clinical practice, administration, and education, Stephanie has developed a well-rounded skill set that supports both exceptional patient care and a smooth clinical workflow. She also brings a passion for mentoring others, having taught dental assisting students and supported new professionals entering the field.
A proud resident of Russell for over 35 years, Stephanie is deeply connected to the community she serves. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, shopping, and tending to her formidable garden.
Nicole
Registered Dental Hygienist
With over 24 years of experience in the dental field — including 19 as a Registered Dental Hygienist — Nicole brings compassion, and a love for her work to every patient she sees. Her gentle touch, attention to detail, and genuine care help patients feel at ease while receiving the highest standard of dental care.
Nicole’s favourite part of her job is building relationships with patients and helping them improve not just their smiles, but their overall health. Whether educating on prevention or guiding patients through long-term oral care, she’s passionate about making a positive impact.
Outside of the office, Nicole is a proud mom of two sons who keep her busy with sporting events and weekend adventures. She also loves to travel and explore new places whenever she gets the chance.
Kerry
Administrative Staff
After more than 20 years managing restaurants, Kerry was ready for something new — something that would still allow her to connect with people in a meaningful way. In her role at the front desk, she’s enjoying learning the dental field and being part of a team that helps patients feel comfortable and cared for.
Kerry moved to the area three years ago and is beginning to feel more settled, valuing the growing sense of community around her. Outside of the office, she channels her creativity into ApotheKerry, her small business where she handcrafts botanical soaps and skincare inspired by nature and wellness.
Jessica
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been a hygienist for almost 11 years after graduating from Algonquin College in 2015. She lives locally with her two children and husband, Ryan. She is very excited to become part of the Russell Trails Dental Family as she loves being able to work in the town where she lives so she can connect with people within the community. When she is not working at the dental office, you can usually find her working on the farm milking cows or running after her kids, Robin and Murray! Fun fact: Jessica, Dr. Proulx and his wife, Jaclyn, all attended the same high school and graduated together! Last year, their children played on the same Russell Soccer Team- all reinforcing why we love to live and work in our small town of Russell.
